Paris Travel Guide With @daynamance
Our founder, Dayna, took an incredible trip to Paris, France with four friends for an inspiring week filled with vintage shopping, exploring the city, museums, and events for Paris Design Week. Get a look at where Dayna stayed, where she ate, and what they did while in the City of Light.
Where we stayed:
“We stayed in a cute flat in the Le Marais neighborhood, it was a dream! I had big windows in my room and enjoyed coffee in bed with the prettiest view. The neighborhood was so clean and charming with so much character. Every block had great restaurants and shops. Our flat was across the street from La Banquette Marais, where we grabbed fresh croissants and espresso in the mornings and some lunches in the afternoon. Across the street was Tabac des Ternes, a very popular spot with lots of young, trendy Parisians enjoying drinks and socializing.”
Where we ate:
“We had the most amazing savory crepes from Breizh, I got one with eggs, lox, and spinach. We had a lovely dinner at Derrière, the unique vintage decor and yellow umbrellas outside made it so charming. One thing I loved about traveling with girlfriends was sharing appetizers and entrees at every dinner, it was such a great way to try so many new things. I can truly say the food in Paris is fantastic. On our last day, we had brunch at the famous Carette. We saw other guests eating bowls of cream, so we indulged by ordering some, along with soft-boiled eggs, fresh juice, coffee, and pastries. Chez Janou was another restaurant with traditional French food that we really enjoyed. Paris is a busy city, and I highly recommend making reservations for dinner."
What we did:
“It was Paris Design Week and many art galleries were open to the public, with fresh exhibits and often the artist there to speak to them. I also visited Maison Object, a large home and design trade show to see cutting-edge home decor and products. We walked around 18k steps a day, exploring the city and documenting the cutest dogs I saw for my daughters. We stumbled across so many adorable boutiques, including vintage and artisan shops. We walked along the Seine with moody clouds and a little rain. The weather turned to fall before our very eyes. I loved the Montmartre neighborhood, where we wandered and climbed the steps to enjoy the views of the city from Sacre Coeur. Another neighborhood I really enjoyed was Canal Saint-Martin. So many cute boutiques, coffee shops, bakeries, and charm. If you like interior design, make sure to go to Copains & Copains Le Studio. It's a cafe with black & white marble countertops, mirrored walls & pedestals and so many design details, plus amazing coffee. The taste level is just so amazing and inspiring in Paris. I can’t wait to go back to explore more!”
“I hadn’t been to Paris in many years and hadn’t thought about going until this opportunity popped up and I’m so happy it came about. I had such an incredible time and came back to my business with an energy I didn’t even know I needed. All the things I love the most in a trip were rolled into one week: travel, fashion, design, shopping at unique boutiques, art, architecture, adventure, and eating great food with amazing craft cocktails with good friends. Pure heaven!”
